The Heritage of Jodhpur Woodcraft: Seasoned Solid Woods & Hand-Forged Accents

At our Jodhpur atelier, woodcraft is an unbroken lineage passed through generations of master carvers and metal smiths. Every collection begins with carefully selected, government-regulated timber—primarily dense Indian Sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo) and golden Royal Teak.

Fresh timber is seasoned through a rigorous two-phase regime: natural desert air-curing beneath shaded open-air bays, followed by precision temperature-controlled kiln seasoning. This brings moisture content to an optimal 8–12% equilibrium, eliminating warping and ensuring seasonal stability across international climates.

Each piece is unified with hand-forged wrought iron hardware crafted in our on-site forge and hand-rubbed with botanical oils and natural beeswax for a timeless, tactile patina.
